INTRODUCTION TO BEEKEEPING IN AN APPLIED WAY:
To ensure maximum success in your project
Maya the Bee's hives offer you training applied directly to the apiary.
Limited places - 1 group per season. 3 2 hours of training
Throughout the beekeeping season
For the 2025 season:

COURSE BLOCK
1. The Bee & the Colony: Introduction to bee biology and the life of the bee within the colony. Visit to the apiary.
2. Taming the bee in the apiary: Introduction to the beekeeping profession.
3. Colony Management: Managing a small apiary for the healthy development of bee colonies.
4. Bee health and preparation for winter : Phytosanitary management of the apiary, Wintering of the hive.
5. Honey harvest : Extraction of honey and tasting.

IMPROVING YOUR BEEKEEPING SKILLS:
Course for those who have been handling a few hives for some time and wish to improve their skills.
2 half-days of training around a meal offered to you by the Ruches de Maya l'abeille to discuss the different beekeeping issues that you experience, find solutions, in addition to a visit to the hives with your expert, Maya L'abeille.
$160 + tax
1/2 day at the start of the season (May) and 1/2 day during the season (July), dates to be determined as a group using a Doodle.

THE BEE IN AGRICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT:
For your organization, we move a few hives (4 hives maximum) near your business during the season: with the help of Maya L'abeille you will ensure the development of the colonies throughout the beekeeping season.

COURSE BLOCK
1. The Bee, the Colony and Agriculture: Introduction to bee biology and bee life within the colony. The challenges of beekeeping in an agricultural environment.
2. Taming the bee in the apiary: Introduction to the beekeeping profession. Visit to the apiary
3. Colony Management: Managing a small apiary for the healthy development of bee colonies in an agricultural context and pollination of fruit crops
4. Bee health and preparation for winter: Phytosanitary management of the apiary, Wintering of the hive and Quebec beekeeping challenges.
* At least 1 person must carry out certain operations in the apiary between training blocks, independently.

Learn the art of grafting and monitoring your lines for the optimal development of your herd.
